The Players Championship is the PGA Tour's flagship event, often called the 'fifth major' for its elite field - the strongest in golf - and its huge purse. It is played every March at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, home of the intimidating island-green 17th hole, one of the most famous holes in the game.
