About the event

The twelfth Lisbon edition is already dated: 17, 18, 24 and 25 June 2028 at Parque Tejo, the riverside site now also named Parque Papa Francisco. The organisers announced it on the closing day of the 2026 festival, which is how this one works - the dates come first and the bill much later. The festival is again split across two weekends rather than run in one block.

Rock in Rio Lisboa returns on 17, 18, 24 and 25 June 2028 at Parque Tejo, the riverside site also named Parque Papa Francisco. The 2026 edition drew over 330,000 people from 127 countries across four stages and some 52 hours of music. The split into two weekends is the format, not a one-off - and the dates were announced on the closing day of the last edition.

No clashes can be mapped yet: the 2028 bill is not announced. For scale, the 2026 edition ran four stages with more than 60 artists over four days, so overlaps are part of the format.
