About the event
Twelve days of film in Ljubljana, 11 to 22 November 2026, in the festival's 37th year. Cankarjev dom is the base - the festival runs out of its halls - with screenings also at Kinodvor and the Slovenian Cinematheque, so the programme decides which part of the centre the days are spent in.
The 37th LIFFe runs 11 to 22 November 2026 with eleven sections, from the Perspectives competition for emerging filmmakers to a Commedia all'italiana retrospective and Extravaganza's late-night slot. Cankarjev dom is the base, but the festival also plays in Maribor, Celje and Novo mesto, so it is not only a Ljubljana week.
Tickets are sold to the public and presale is already open through Cankarjev dom, which handles both the online sale and the box office. No accreditation is needed for the screenings. Prices for the 37th edition had not been published as of 21 October 2026.
