About the event
The 46th Dublin Marathon is on Sunday 24 October 2027 and has room for 22,500 runners. Most places go through the public ballot - 17,200 of them - which opens on 12 November and closes on 17 November, with a four-euro ballot fee that is refunded to anyone not drawn and deducted from the entry if they are. Entry rises by twenty euros to 130 for 2027, the first increase in five years. Last year's ballot drew a record 47,000 applications.
