About the event

The Tour de France is the world's greatest cycling race - a three-week, roughly 3,400 km test of endurance around France and its neighbours every July, decided in the high mountains of the Alps and Pyrenees. The rider in the yellow jersey after 21 stages is the champion. Four riders share the record of five overall wins. The 2027 race runs 2-25 July, opening with a Grand Depart in Edinburgh.
