About the event

Strade Bianche takes its name from the unpaved white gravel roads of Tuscany that make up a significant part of its route, a format that has drawn comparisons to Paris-Roubaix's cobbles despite being a much newer race, first held in 2007. Its Siena finish, up a steep ramp into the medieval Piazza del Campo, is one of cycling's most recognisable finish-line images.
