About the event
Amstel Gold Race is the only Dutch entry among cycling's five Monument-adjacent Classics, run over the short, punishing climbs of Limburg's hill country rather than the flat terrain typically associated with Dutch cycling. The Cauberg climb near the finish has repeatedly decided the race in its closing kilometres.
