The King's Birthday clash (long known as the Queen's Birthday clash) between Melbourne and Collingwood is one of the AFL's blockbuster home-and-away fixtures, played on the June public-holiday Monday at the MCG. It regularly draws one of the biggest crowds of the regular season.
