About the event
Twelve days in March, five competitive sections and a field restricted to films that premiered after 1 April 2026: CPH:DOX runs from 10 to 21 March 2027 across venues in Copenhagen. The sections - F:ACT, NEXT:WAVE, HUMAN:RIGHTS, NEW:VISION and INTER:ACTIVE - sort the programme by subject and form rather than by length, and the festival is the largest of its kind in Scandinavia.
CPH:DOX is the largest documentary festival in Scandinavia and splits its competition into five sections that sort films by what they are rather than how long they run: F:ACT for investigative work, NEXT:WAVE for new directors, HUMAN:RIGHTS, NEW:VISION for film that sits closer to art, and INTER:ACTIVE. Films that premiered after 1 April 2026 were eligible for the 2027 edition, so the programme is first-run rather than a tour of the year's festivals.
