About the event
The Calgary Stampede began in 1912, when Guy Weadick staged a rodeo that brought together leading North American cowboys, and it remains Calgary’s defining summer festival. Its afternoon rodeo and evening chuckwagon races are held at Stampede Park, while the city-wide programme adds agricultural shows, concerts and midway attractions. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 9 to 18 July.
