History Built around Nordic public-bathing culture

The reliable context is the living sauna culture around Finland, the Baltic sauna route via Estonia, and the shared event pattern: talks, bathing sessions, design, hospitality and recovery.

Format / rules Every venue can have different etiquette

Check textile rules, nudity rules, age limits, silence rules, alcohol policy and phone rules before each sauna slot. When unsure, ask the host before adding water, scent or ventilation.

Records 3.3M sauna estimate

The sauna topic tracks the widely cited estimate that Finland has about 3.3 million saunas. For this summit, the useful record is not a trophy; it is how much daily culture sits behind the event.

Notable moments
  • The strongest planning link is the bastu / sauna topic: Open sauna topic
  • Host context starts with Finland and the city link to Helsinki.
  • If the programme crosses the Gulf, add buffer time for Tallinn and Estonia.
