About the event
Wimbledon is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world, first played in 1877 and the only Grand Slam still contested on grass. Held each summer at the All England Club in south-west London, it keeps traditions no other major does — all-white dress, no on-court sponsor boards, and strawberries and cream. Roger Federer's eight men's singles titles and Martina Navratilova's nine women's are the tournament records. The 2027 Championships run 28 June – 11 July, with dates already published through 2030.
