About the event
The Summer Olympic Games are the world's biggest sporting event - around 10,000 athletes from more than 200 nations competing across 30-plus sports every four years. First held in their modern form in Athens in 1896, the Games are as much a global cultural moment as a sporting one. Los Angeles hosts in 2028, for a record third time. The Games run 14-31 July 2028.

Tickets are sold by the Games' own organising committee on a single official platform at the same prices worldwide, and demand is high enough that buyers apply to a lottery rather than buy on sight. Hospitality that includes a ticket comes only through the IOC's appointed provider — anything bought outside those channels can be cancelled at the gate.
