About Mexico City Grand Prix
The Mexico City Grand Prix is run at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, the highest-altitude circuit in Formula 1 at around 2,240 metres above sea level. The thin air cuts downforce and challenges engine cooling, while the stadium section - where the track snakes through a baseball arena packed with fans - creates one of the sport's best atmospheres. First held in 1963 and revived in 2015, it is a modern favourite. The 2026 race is on 30 October - 1 November.
The 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix runs 30 October - 1 November. The altitude means engines, brakes and cooling work unusually hard, and the very long main straight into a tight first corner produces frequent first-lap drama in front of a huge home crowd.
