About this event

Harbin's Ice and Snow Festival is the largest ice-sculpture festival in the world, using the extreme cold of China's northernmost major city - winter lows regularly below -20C - to build illuminated ice structures on a monumental scale, including full-size buildings and towers. Blocks are cut from the frozen Songhua River, and the structures are lit from within after dark.
