Six squares, six different runs. Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square hold the longest season, 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, while the smaller markets close on Christmas Eve: Republic Square from 25 November, Tyl's Square from 26 November and Peace Square already from 20 November. Prague runs six Christmas markets on six different schedules. Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square hold the long season, 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, while Republic Square, Tyl's Square and Peace Square all close on Christmas Eve. Which square you aim for therefore decides which dates work.
The season opens on 20 November 2026 at Peace Square, the earliest of them. Republic Square follows on 25 November and Tyl's Square on 26 November, both running to 24 December. The two big squares, Old Town and Wenceslas, open on 28 November and stay until 6 January 2027.
