About this event
Medellín’s Flower Festival is rooted in the silleteros of nearby Santa Elena, who carry elaborate floral arrangements on their backs in the Desfile de Silleteros. The festival began in 1957 and now includes concerts, exhibitions and city-wide cultural events, but the flower-carrier parade remains its most distinctive image. The 2026 edition is scheduled from 31 July to 9 August across Medellín.
