About the event
Bali's Arts Festival has run since 1979, timed to the island's dry season and staged at the Taman Werdhi Budaya art centre in Denpasar. Each regency of Bali brings its own dance and gamelan troupes to compete and perform, making the festival as much a showcase of Balinese Hindu village culture as a single event - textiles, wood carving and culinary traditions are exhibited alongside the nightly stage programme.
